(House Bill 1076)
AN ACT concerning
St Mary's County - Building Authority Commission
FOR the purpose of providing that the County Commissioners of St.
Mary's County may establish a creating the St. Mary's County
Building Authority Commission and appoint its members;
providing that the County Commissioners may appropriate
funds necessary to the functioning of the Building
Authority Commission; delegating certain specific functions
to the Building Authority Commission; providing that the
County Commissioners may assign additional functions and
responsibilities to the Building Authority Commission; as a
body politic and corporate and a public instrumentality of
the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County for the
purpose of acquiring, taking title to and renovating real
property within the County and leasing such property, after
renovation, to State and County agencies; providing for the
organization, powers, procedures, and funding of the
Commission; authorizing the Commission to issue and sell
limited obligation bonds to finance or refinance the
acquisition, renovation, and leasing of real property; and
generally relating to the establishment of a Building
Authority Commission in St. Mary's County and to the
authorization, sale, security, issuance, delivery, and
payment of and for the Commission's bonds.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 19 - St. Mary's County
26-18.
(A) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY MAY
ESTABLISH A BUILDING AUTHORITY COMMISSION WHOSE MEMBERS SHALL BE
APPOINTED BY THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
