AN ACT concerning
General Assembly - Joint Committee on Federal Relations
FOR the purpose of reconstituting the Maryland Commission on
Intergovernmental Cooperation as the Joint Committee on
Federal Relations; specifying membership, chairmen, and
staff; enumerating functions and duties of the Joint
Committee; providing for the transfer of records and files;
generally relating to the Maryland Commission on
Intergovernmental Cooperation and its successor, the Joint
Committee on Federal Relations; creating and providing for
the Advisory Commission on Federal-Local Relations; and
making this Act an emergency measure.
BY repealing
Article 40 - General Assembly
Section 15 through 26 and the subtitle "Intergovernmental
Cooperation"

BY adding to

Section 15 through 19 to be under the new subtitle "Joint

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

The Maryland Commission on Intergovernmental Cooperation is
established. It is composed from time to time of members of the
General Assembly of Maryland as designated by the President of
the Senate and Speaker of the House of Delegates of Maryland and
the president of the Maryland Association of Counties, Inc. and
the president of the Maryland Municipal League, Inc. or their
designees.]
