94                                    JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS                        Aug. 6 "(b) (1) (I) AN INDIVIDUAL'S MAXIMUM "WEEKLY BENEFIT
AMOUNT" SHALL BE 75 PERCENT OF THE INDIVIDUAL'S AVERAGE
WEEKLY WAGES, NOT TO EXCEED 90 PERCENT OF THE AVERAGE WEEKLY
WAGE OF THE STATE OF MARYLAND AS DETERMINED BY THE
EMPLOYMENT SECURITY ADMINISTRATION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF
HUMAN RESOURCES. (II)  ANY PERCENTAGE INCREASE IN THE
AVERAGE WEEKLY WAGE OF THE STATE BETWEEN THE WAGE COMPUTED
FOR THE CURRENT YEAR AND THE WAGE COMPUTED FOR THE PRECEDING
YEAR SHALL BE USED TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM AMOUNTS THEN IN
EFFECT BY THE SAME PERCENTAGE. (III)  IN THE COMPUTATION OF THE WEEKLY
BENEFIT AMOUNT, ANY RESULTING AMOUNT NOT A MULTIPLE OF $1
SHALL BE RAISED TO THE NEXT HIGHER MULTIPLE OF $1. IN THE
COMPUTATION OF THE ADJUSTED MAXIMUM BENEFIT AMOUNTS, BASED
ON THE STATEWIDE AVERAGE WEEKLY WAGE, ANY RESULTING AMOUNT
NOT A MULTIPLE OF $1 SHALL BE ADJUSTED TO THE NEAREST $1.
IF THE MULTIPLE IS 50 CENTS, THE AMOUNT SHALL BE RAISED TO
THE NEXT HIGHER DOLLAR.". Delegate Cumiskey moved the previous question. The motion was adopted. Delegate Blumenthal's Amendments were read and rejected by a
