practice medicine in this State. It is presumed
that only legally, ethically, and professionally
qualified individuals are so authorized to
practice medicine in this State.

subtitle.

(F)  LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE SECRETARY:

(1)  TO OPERATE A HOSPITAL IN THIS STATE; OR

(2)  TO OPERATE A RELATED INSTITUTION IN THIS
STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to allow concise reference to a license issued
under this subtitle.

"Related institution" § 19-301 "Secretary" § 1-101

(G)  NURSING CARE.

"NURSING CARE" MEANS SERVICE FOR A PATIENT THAT IS:

(1)  ORDERED BY A PHYSICIAN; AND

(2)  PROVIDED OR SUPERVISED BY A REGISTERED OR
PRACTICAL NURSE WHO IS LICENSED TO PRACTICE IN THIS STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 556(h).

In item (1) of this subsection, the former word
"requested" is deleted as unnecessary.

The only other changes are in style.
