(2)  CARELESSLY EXPOSE AN INDIVIDUAL TO ANOTHER
WHO HAS AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE THAT ENDANGERS PUBLIC HEALTH;
OR

(3)  PERMIT A CHILD WHO HAS AN INFECTIOUS DISEASE
THAT ENDANGERS PUBLIC HEALTH TO BE IN A PUBLIC PLACE WHILE
IN CHARGE OF THE CHILD.

(B) PENALTY.

A PERSON WHO VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF THIS SECTION IS
SUBJECT TO A FINE NOT EXCEEDING $100.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
43, § 59.

Throughout this section, the phrase "infectious
disease that endangers public health" is
substituted for "infectious disease", to conform
to similar references in this title and to
Department practice.

In subsection (a)(2) of this section, the
reference "carelessly expose individuals" to an
infected individual is substituted for the
reference "carelessly carries about" the infected
individual, for clarity.

In subsection (a)(3) of this section, the phrase
"while in charge of the child" is substituted for
the phrase "under his or her care", for clarity.

Also in subsection (a)(3) of this section, the
former enumeration of types of public places is
deleted as unnecessary.

18-503. COMMON CUPS AND TOWELS.

(A)  PROHIBITED.

A PERSON MAY NOT HAVE A COMMON DRINKING CUP OR A COMMON
TOWEL AVAILABLE FOR USE IN A PUBLIC PLACE, INCLUDING A
PASSENGER TRAIN OR BOAT THAT CARRIES PASSENGERS.

(B)  RULES AND REGULATIONS.

THE SECRETARY MAY ADOPT REASONABLE RULES AND
REGULATIONS TO CARRY OUT THIS SECTION.

(C)  PENALTY.

A PERSON WHO VIOLATES ANY PROVISION OF THIS SECTION OR
