PART IV. TUBERCULOSIS.

18-322. TUBERCULOSIS REGISTER.

(A)  REGISTER REQUIRED.

THE SECRETARY SHALL KEEP A REGISTER OF EACH INDIVIDUAL
WHO HAS TUBERCULOSIS.

(B)  CONFIDENTIALITY.
THE SECRETARY:

(1)  SHALL HAVE EXCLUSIVE CONTROL OF THE

REGISTER; AND

(2)  MAY NOT DISCLOSE INFORMATION IN THE REGISTER
ABOUT ANY INDIVIDUAL TO ANY PERSON WHO IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY
LAW TO HAVE THE INFORMATION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
43, § 95.

As to subsection (a) of this section, the
Department keeps a register only of individuals
who require treatment for tuberculosis.

In subsection (b) of this section, the defined
term "person" is substituted for the word
"officials", for clarity and conformity to the
intent of excluding an unauthorized person rather
than only a nonofficial.

18-323. INSTRUCTIONS AND SUPPLIES.

THE SECRETARY SHALL PROVIDE PRINTED INSTRUCTIONS AND
ANY SUPPLIES THAT THE SECRETARY CONSIDERS NECESSARY TO
PREVENT AND CONTROL THE SPREAD OF TUBERCULOSIS, ON THE
REQUEST OF ANY HEALTH OFFICER OR ANY PHYSICIAN ATTENDING AN
INDIVIDUAL WHO HAS TUBERCULOSIS.
