NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR PREGNANT WOMEN, INFANTS, AND YOUNG
CHILDREN:

(I) PROCEDURES TO DISTRIBUTE STATE FUNDS

AGENCIES FOR THE PROGRAM;

(VI) COMPARISON OF THE COST OF THE PROGRAM
AND THE COST OF MEDICAL ASSISTANCE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN,
INFANTS, AND YOUNG CHILDREN WHO DO NOT RECEIVE MONEY UNDER
THE THERAPEUTIC NUTRITION PROGRAM.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
43, §§ 948(c), (d), and (e) and 949.

The substance of former Article 43, § 948(c),
(d), and (e), which defined "federal program",
"local agency", and "program", is incorporated in
this section, since the former defined terms
appeared infrequently and, therefore, separate
definitions of those terms are not needed.

Former Article 43, § 948(a) which was standard
introductory language to a definition section, is
deleted as unnecessary since the defined terms
are not retained.

Former Article 43, § 948(b), which defined
"Department", is deleted as unnecessary in light
of the definition of that term in § 1-101 of this
article.

As to the referenced federal Child Nutrition Act
of 1966, see 42 U.S.C.A. §§ 1771-1789 (1976).
