(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

without substantive change from the introductory
phrase of former Article 43, § 708 and rephrased
in the standard introductory language to a
definition section.

(B)  CHILD.

"CHILD" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL UNDER THE AGE OF 16 YEARS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection formerly appeared as
Article 43, § 708(5).

The former reference to the plural term
"children" is deleted as unnecessary in light of
Article 1, § 8 of the Code, which provides that
the singular includes the plural.

The only other changes are in style.

(C)  GROUP DAY CARE CENTER.

"GROUP DAY CARE CENTER" MEANS AN AGENCY, INSTITUTION,
OR ESTABLISHMENT THAT, FOR PART OR ALL OF A DAY, ON A
REGULAR SCHEDULE, AND AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK, OFFERS OR
PROVIDES GROUP DAY CARE TO AT LEAST 5 CHILDREN WHO DO NOT
HAVE THE SAME PARENTAGE.
