CHARTER AMENDMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3-81
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE,
MARYLAND adopted pursuant to the authority of Article 11E of
the Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A,
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition, as amended)
to amend Section 22 entitled "Election Districts", said
Section being Section 5-22 of Subtitle 5 of Article 17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1963 Edition, as
amended), which article contains in whole or in part the
Charter of the City of Bowie, by repealing and re-enacting
with amendment said Section 22 to change boundaries of the
Election Districts 1 through 5.
[Section 5-22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, 1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement,
repealed and reenacted, with amendments.
Effective Date January 5, 1982]
RESOLUTION NO. 35-81
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOWIE,
MARYLAND ENLARGING THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE
CITY OF BOWIE BY ANNEXING LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJOINING
THE EXISTING CORPORATE AREA
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bowie, a municipal
corporation of the State of Maryland, has determined to
enlarge and extend the limits of the City of Bowie by
including therein a part of Prince George's County
contiguous and adjoining thereto in accordance with the
procedure set forth in Section 19 of Article 23A of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and Amendments),
said Article being titled, "Corporations - Municipal",
Section 19 being a sub-heading, titled "Annexations"; and
WHEREAS, the proposal for change was consented to by
the owners of not less than 25% of the assessed valuation of
the real property located in the area to be annexed, there
being no persons residing in the area to be annexed; and
