MUNICIPAL CHARTERS
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bowie has
determined to initiate a resolution, based on the aforesaid
consent to enlarge and extend the limits of the City of
Bowie to include the hereinafter described area and to make
applicable to that area all laws of the State of Maryland
applicable to the City of Bowie and all existing charter
provisions and ordinances of the City of Bowie which are now
in force or may be hereafter enacted;
[Section 5-2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County, (1963 Edition and 1967 Supplement) repealed
and reenacted, with amendments.

PURSUANT TO THE AUTHORITY OF ARTICLE III and ARTICLE XI E OF
THE CONSTITUTION OF MARYLAND, SECTION 13, OF ARTICLE 23A OF
THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND, 1957 EDITION, 1973
REPLACEMENT VOLUME, TITLE "CORPORATIONS-MUNICIPAL" TO REPEAL
SECTION 308 OF THE CHARTER OF THE TOWN OF CECILTON, CECIL
COUNTY, MARYLAND AS ADOPTED FEBRUARY 21, 1979 AND TO ADD A
NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS SECTION 308 OF THE CHARTER OF THE
TOWN OF CECILTON AS AMENDED, SAID RESOLUTION CONSTITUTES AN
AMENDMENT TO THE MUNICIPAL CHARTER OF THE BODY POLITIC AND
CORPORATE KNOWN AS THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF CECILTON.
WHEREAS, Section 308 of the current Charter of the Town
of Cecilton provides for the publication in a newspaper of
each ordinance passed by the Town and Council of Cecilton at
least one time and a question has been raised as to whether
