Ch. 21

9-311. DUTIES.

EACH COUNTY DRUG ABUSE ADVISORY COUNCIL AND INTERCOUNTY
DRUG ABUSE ADVISORY COUNCIL SHALL:

(1)  WITH THE ADVICE AND HELP OF THE DRUG ABUSE
COORDINATOR FOR THE APPROPRIATE COUNTY:

(I)  REVIEW PERIODICALLY THE AVAILABLE
SERVICES AND FACILITIES; AND

(II)  DETERMINE THE NEEDS OF THE COUNTY
DRUG ABUSE PROGRAM;

(2)  HELP THE DRUG ABUSE COORDINATOR IN REVISING
ANNUALLY THE COUNTY DRUG ABUSE PLAN;

(3)  ADVISE THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE APPROPRIATE
COUNTY AND, THROUGH THE DRUG ABUSE COORDINATOR, THE DIRECTOR
ON:

(I)  THE PROGRESS OF THE COUNTY DRUG ABUSE
PROGRAM; AND

(II)  ANY ACTION NEEDED TO IMPROVE THE
PROGRAM;

(4)  SUBMIT AN ANNUAL REPORT ON THAT PROGRESS TO
THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE APPROPRIATE COUNTY, AND, THROUGH
THE DRUG ABUSE COORDINATOR, TO THE DIRECTOR;

(5)  SET PRIORITIES FOR ALLOCATION OF FUNDS;

(6)  IN ACCORDANCE WITH THOSE PRIORITIES AND
AFTER CONSIDERATION OF ALL FINANCIAL RESOURCES, RECOMMEND
THE APPROPRIATE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS;

(7)  REVIEW AND COMMENT ON EACH APPLICATION OF
THE COUNTY DRUG ABUSE PROGRAM FOR A STATE OR FEDERAL GRANT;

(8)  GIVE INFORMATION AND ADVICE TO THE STATE
ADVISORY COUNCIL;

(9)  ACT AS A COUNTY ADVOCATE FOR DRUG ABUSE
PROGRAMS;

(10)  WHEN APPROPRIATE, HELP IN PROGRAM
EVALUATIONS; AND

(11)  REVIEW THE STATE COMPREHENSIVE DRUG ABUSE
CONTROL PLAN.
