HARRY HUGHES, Governor

451

43B, § 3(a).

It is set forth as a separate section for
emphasis.

The word "State" is added to distinguish between
the State Advisory Council and county advisory
councils authorized under § 9-309 of this
subtitle and to achieve uniformity among the
names of the entities that this article governs.

The phrase "in the Administration" is added for
clarity. It is based on the reference in former
Article 2C, § 501(e) to the joint meetings of
advisory councils, including the Advisory Council
on Drug Abuse "within the ... drug abuse
administratio{n}". It also conforms to the
practice of the Administration and the
Department.

The only other changes are in style.

Defined terms: "Administration" § 9-101
"Drug abuse" § 9-101

9-302. MEMBERSHIP.
