date. Renewal may be effected at any time prior to [July

1] SEPTEMBER 1 by the payment of a [$10] $20 fee for

professional engineers. Renewal shall be evidenced by the
issuance of [an annual] A BIENNIAL registration card,
bearing the date of expiration and the signatures of the
chairman and secretary of the Board. Upon failure of any
registrant to renew his certificate [annually] BIENNIALLY
prior to [July 1] SEPTEMBER 1, as required above, his
right to practice shall be invalidated, but the certificate
may be renewed at any time within the next succeeding [12]
24 months upon the payment of a [$15] $30 fee. If any
registrant fails to renew his certificate within the
[12-month] 24 MONTH period provided above and later applies
for renewal, he may be required to present reasons for
renewal. The Board may grant a renewal of the certificate,
in which case the renewal fee shall be the same as the
registration fee for professional engineers or the Board may
require reapplication.

Article 75A - Public Accountancy

(f) (1) [In the calendar year immediately preceding
the year for which registration is requested, the] THE
applicant must complete a minimum of 40 hours of acceptable
continuing education IN EACH CALENDAR YEAR AFTER INITIAL
REGISTRATION. All hours in excess of the 40 hours required
for one year can be carried forward to apply as credit to
the 40-hour requirements of the following two years.

(2) (i) The Board may approve for satisfying the
attendance requirement in professional development programs,
technical sessions of professional societies and chapters,
university or college courses, formal organized in-firm
educational programs of public accounting firms, seminars
offered by governmental agencies, and seminars and
symposiums related to the practice of accountancy. Whenever
feasible these sessions shall be offered at reasonable
intervals within each county and within each major
geographical area of the larger counties.

(ii) Not more than 20 hours of the 40-hour
requirement may be met by courses of home study approved by
the Board or as service as a teacher, lecturer or discussion
leader in accounting and related subjects approved by the
Board.

[(3) The requirement must be met the second
registration date following its adoption or the initial
registration date of an individual, whichever is later.]
