prior to [July] APRIL 1, as required above, his right to
practice shall be invalidated, but the certificate may be
renewed at any time within the next succeeding [12] 24
months upon the payment of a fee of [$25] $50 for
professional land surveyors and [$20] $40 for property line
surveyors. Renewal shall be evidenced by the issuance of an
annual BIENNIAL registration card, bearing the date of
expiration and the signatures of the chairman and secretary
of the Board. If any registrant fails to renew his
certificate within the [12-month] 24 MONTH period provided
above, and later applies for renewal, he may be required to
present reasons for the renewal. The Board may grant a
renewal of the certificate in which case the renewal fee is
the same as the registration fee for professional land
surveyors and for property line surveyors.
(d) The fee for land surveyor-in-training is $10 and
shall include the cost of examination and issuance of the
certificate.
(e) The registration fee for a certificate of
authorization for a corporation or partnership is $50 and
the renewal fee shall be [$35] $70. Certificates of
authorization shall expire on the last day of June following
their issuance or renewal and shall be invalidated after
that date unless BIENNIALLY renewed.
(f) If the Board denies the issuance of a certificate
of registration to any applicant or a certificate of
authorization to any corporation or partnership, the initial
fee deposited shall be retained as an application fee.
SECTION 6. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland read(s) as follows:

(a) Each license issued under this subtitle shall
expire BIENNIALLY on [April 30 [ of each year] AUGUST 31
OF EACH ODD NUMBERED EVEN-NUMBERED YEAR unless renewed by
filing an application for renewal with the Secretary and
paying a renewal fee of [$100] $200.
Article 74 - Pilots
No person shall be authorized or permitted to be a
pilot unless he shall have first received a license from the
