4212                                       LAWS OF MARYLAND                                    Ch. 770

(b)  Members of the Board shall be residents of this
State. One member shall be a person licensed to practice
medicine in this State and shall hold a certificate of
qualification from the American Board of Otolaryngology. One
member shall have at least four years of paid work
experience in audiology, shall hold a certificate of
clinical competence in audiology from the American Speech
and Hearing Association and shall be a member in good
standing of that association. Three members shall be persons
experienced in the sale of hearing aids, shall possess the
qualifications provided in [§ 741] § 513 OF THIS SUBTITLE,
and shall be recommended by the Maryland members of the
Hearing Aid Dealers Association of Maryland, District of
Columbia and Delaware. All persons appointed to the Board
after the date on which the Board first issues a certificate
of license, as provided in [§ 742 (c)] § 514(C) OF THIS
SUBTITLE, shall be persons who hold valid certificates of
license.

(c)  Three members of the first appointed Board shall
have terms of two, three and four years, respectively, and
two members shall serve terms of five years, all dating from
after July 1, 1969. Board members appointed thereafter
shall serve terms of five years.

(d)  The members of the Board shall receive a
compensation as may be provided in the budget from time to
time.

(e)  The Board shall meet at least once a year at a
place and time determined by the members. The Board may
also meet at such other times as it may determine.

(a)  Violation of [§§ 738, 739, 748, or 749] §§ 509,
510, 521, OR 522 of this subtitle is a misdemeanor
punishable, upon conviction, by a fine of not more than $500
or by imprisonment for not more than ninety days, or both.

(b)  The Board may enforce any provision of this
subtitle by injunction or by any other appropriate
proceeding. No such proceeding shall be barred by any
proceeding had or pending pursuant to subsection (a) of this
section or by the imposition of any fine or term of
imprisonment pursuant thereto.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland read(s) as follows:
