ARTICLE, ARE CONVICTED OF DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED OR WHILE
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL.

(2) THE PROGRAMS UNDER THIS SUBSECTION SHALL BE
COORDINATED WITH AND INTEGRATED INTO BROAD PLANNING FOR
COMPREHENSIVE COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELFARE SERVICES.

(C)  PROGRAM IN CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTIONS.

IN COOPERATION WITH THE ADMINISTRATION, THE DIVISION OF
CORRECTION SHALL ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN, IN CORRECTIONAL
INSTITUTIONS, A PROGRAM FOR THE PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF
ALCOHOLISM AND THE REHABILITATION OF ALCOHOLICS.

(D)  PROGRAM FOR JUVENILES.

IN COOPERATION WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION,
COUNTY BOARDS OF EDUCATION, SCHOOLS, COURTS, POLICE, AND
OTHER PUBLIC AND PRIVATE AGENCIES, THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL
ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN A PROGRAM FOR THE PROMOTION OF
TEMPERANCE AND PREVENTION OF ALCOHOLISM AND FOR THE
TREATMENT AND REHABILITATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS
WHO ARE INCIPIENT ALCOHOLICS.

(E)  TRAINING OF ALCOHOLISM WORKERS.

THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL ORGANIZE AND ENCOURAGE
TRAINING PROGRAMS FOR PROFESSIONAL AND NONPROFESSIONAL
WORKERS ABOUT INTOXICATION AND ALCOHOLISM.

(F)  EVALUATION.

THE ADMINISTRATION SHALL:

(1)  CONTINUALLY EVALUATE ITS PROGRAMS; AND

(2)  CONDUCT PILOT AND DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS TO
IMPROVE THOSE PROGRAMS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
2C, §§ 310, 311, 312, 314, 315, and the first
sentence of § 316(b).

Throughout this section, reference to the
Administration is substituted for the obsolete
references to the former "Division of Alcoholism
Control".

In subsection (c) of this section, the reference
to the "Division of Correction" is substituted
for the obsolete reference to the "Department of
Correction", in accordance with Article 41, §
204D(a) of the Code.
