SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article 67 - Washington Suburban Sanitary District

18-7.

(a) Every act or omission designated as a misdemeanor
in this article, unless otherwise provided, shall be
punishable before [any trial magistrate or people's court]
THE DISTRICT COURT or the circuit court of the county within
which [such] THE offense is committed, and the offender
shall, upon conviction, be subject: to a fine not exceeding
[$100] $1,000 or to confinement for not more than 30 days in
the county jail, or both, in the discretion of the
[magistrate or] court. Where [such] THE act or omission is
of a continuing nature and is persisted in, in violation of
the provisions of this article or of any rule or regulation
[formulated thereunder] OF THE COMMISSION, a conviction for
one offense shall not be a bar to a conviction for a
continuation of [such] THE offense subsequent to the first
or any succeeding conviction.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

(a) A person who violates any of the following
provisions is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is
subject to a fine not exceeding [$100] $1,000 or
imprisonment not exceeding 30 days or both:

(1) Construction of private or municipal

(2) Service connections................. § 3-104.

(3) Control and disposition of surface
waters............................................. §§ 3-202

through 3-207.
