SECTION 9. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That except as
expressly provided to the contrary in this Act, any person
licensed, registered, or certified by the WSSC established
or continued by any statute amended, repealed, or
transferred by this Act is considered for all purposes to be
licensed, registered, or certified by the WSSC continued
under this Act for the duration of the term for which the
license, registration, or certification was issued, and may
renew that authorization in accordance with the appropriate
renewal provisions of this Act. Except as expressly
provided to the contrary in this Act, an individual who was
originally licensed, registered, or certified under a
provision of law that has been deleted by this Act as
obsolete, continues to meet the education and experience
requirements to the same extent as if that provision had not
been deleted.
SECTION 10. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That if any
provision of this Act or the application thereof to any
person or circumstance is held invalid for any reason, the
invalidity shall not affect the other provisions or any
other application of this Act which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or application, and to this
end all the provisions of this Act are declared to be
severable.
SECTION 11. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
passage of this Act is contingent upon the passage of H.B.
1380 (PG/MC 34-82) of 1982. Should that measure fail of
enactment, the provisions of this Act are null and void
without the need of further action by the General Assembly.
SECTION 11 12. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act shall take effect July 1, 19.82.
