HOWEVER, AN employee [using three] WHO USES 3 or more
consecutive [days'] DAYS OF sick leave shall present a
certificate from a [duly] licensed physician before
receiving any pay for the period of [such] absence.

(3) The [commission] WSSC [may], by rule[,] OR
REGULATION, MAY provide for granting leaves of absence for
longer periods with pay or with part pay to employees who
[may be] ARE disabled [either] through injury or illness as
a result of or arising from their [respective] employment [,
and shall make such rules as may be necessary to carry out
the provisions of this section].

[Any unused leave accumulated by any of the employees
of the commission on June 1, 1961, shall be credited to
their respective leave records.]

[11-13] 11-112. Compensation of unauthorized persons.

[Except in the case of temporary and emergency
employees as herein provided for, no] AN auditor [or] MAY
NOT APPROVE AND A disbursing officer of the [commission]
WSSC [shall approve the payment of or be in any manner
concerned in paying, auditing or approving] MAY NOT PAY OR
APPROVE any salary, wage, or other compensation for
classified services, unless the person to whom [such] THE
salary, wage, or other compensation is [to be] paid is:

(1)  [a person in such] EMPLOYED IN THE
classified service[,];

(2)  [or duly exempted] EXEMPTED or excepted by
the [commission] WSSC under the provisions of this article;
OR

(3)  A TEMPORARY OR EMERGENCY EMPLOYEE.
11-113. Pension and retirement plans.

(A)  THE WSSC MAY FORMULATE AND ADOPT A PENSION OR
RETIREMENT PLAN FOR ITS EMPLOYEES.

(B) (1) THE WSSC MAY:

(I)  CONTRACT WITH ANY ESTABLISHED
INSURANCE COMPANY FOR A. GROUP, ANNUITY, RETIREMENT, OR
PENSION PLAN; AND

(II)  CONTRIBUTE TO THE PLAN AS THE WSSC
CONSIDERS EQUITABLE OR AS REQUIRED UNDER ANY CONTRACT.

(2) THIS CONTRIBUTION OR PAYMENT SHALL BE
CHARGED AS EXPENSES OF THE SEVERAL FUNCTIONS OF THE WSSC IN
THE SAME PROPORTION THAT THE RECEIPTS OF THE RESPECTIVE
FUNCTIONS BEAR TO THE TOTAL RECEIPTS OF THE WSSC.
