2-101. "Water supply, sanitary sewerage, or drainage
project" defined.
IN THIS TITLE, "WATER SUPPLY, SANITARY SEWERAGE, OR
DRAINAGE PROJECT" INCLUDES ANY:
(1) WATER MAIN, SEWER, OR DRAIN OR APPURTENANCE
OF SUCH WATER MAIN, SEWER, OR DRAIN;
(2) FIRE HYDRANT;
(3) RESERVOIR;
(4) WATER PURIFICATION PLANT;
(5) TANK;
(6) PUMPING STATION; AND
(7) SEWAGE DISPOSAL PLANT.
COMMITTEE NOTE: This section presently appears as the
third sentence of former Article 67, § 2-l(b).
2-102. Scope of title.
THIS TITLE APPLIES ONLY TO LAND IN PRINCE GEORGE'S
COUNTY.
2-103. Acquisition of property.
[2-1. (a)] (A) (1) [Whenever the commission] IF THE
WSSC has acquired or is acquiring by purchase or other
[procedures] PROCEDURE, including the condemnation
procedures provided for in THE REAL PROPERTY Article [33A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland] and [section 1-3] § 1-202 of
this article, one-half or more of the [several] takings of
land or interest in land required for the extension or
construction of a water supply, sanitary sewerage, or
drainage project, [as hereinafter defined,] and [it] THE
WSSC finds and determines that the remaining number of
takings of land or interests [therein] IN LAND [is] ARE
needed for the extension or construction project, [and the
land is located in Prince George's County,] the [commission]
WSSC [is hereby authorized to] MAY enter [upon] ON and take
possession of [such] THE REMAINING land or interests in land
[in the aforegoing latter mentioned category] and proceed
With the construction of the water supply, sanitary
sewerage, or drainage project[, provided the commission
shall].
(2) HOWEVER, THE WSSC first SHALL pay to the
owner [or owners] of the land or interest in land involved,
or [into] TO the circuit court for Prince George's county
