FOR the purpose of authorizing Calvert County alcoholic
beverages licensees to install an additional bar near
the licensed premises within a reasonable distance of
the main building of the premises for which a license
was issued, upon the approval of the county liquor
control board Calvert County Board of License
Commissioners.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:
Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages
41.
(b-8) Notwithstanding any other provisions of this
article, in Garrett [County] AND CALVERT COUNTIES any
licensee wishing to install an additional bar or serving
counter within a reasonable distance of the main building
may do so with the approval of the county liquor control
board. The liquor control board shall determine what
constitutes a reasonable distance, and if the authorization
is granted, no additional license shall be required.
(B-9) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISIONS OF THIS
ARTICLE, IN CALVERT COUNTY ANY LICENSEE WISHING TO INSTALL
AN ADDITIONAL BAR OR SERVING COUNTER WITHIN A REASONABLE
DISTANCE OF THE MAIN BUILDING MAY DO SO WITH THE APPROVAL OF
THE CALVERT COUNTY BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS. THE
CALVERT COUNTY BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS SHALL
DETERMINE WHAT CONSTITUTES A REASONABLE DISTANCE, AND IF THE
AUTHORIZATION IS GRANTED, NO ADDITIONAL LICENSE IS REQUIRED.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
