Washington Suburban Sanitary District - Lien Dockets

PG/MC 25-82

FOR the purpose of defining a certain term; requiring
Clerks of the Circuit Courts for Montgomery and Prince
George's counties to establish and maintain a lien
docket for the recording of Washington Suburban
Sanitary Commission liens for front foot benefit
assessments and deferred water and sewer connection
charges; providing for fees and for indexing and
recording notices of certain liens; providing for the
applicability of this Act that certain liens are not
enforceable until a certain notice has been recorded in
the lien docket as required under this Act; providing
for a certain effective date of this Act; and generally
relating to notices of liens for the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Real Property

SUBTITLE 4A. WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY
COMMISSION - LIEN DOCKETS

3-4A-01.

(A)   IN THIS SECTION "NOTICES OF LIENS" MEANS A LIEN,
CERTIFICATE, OR OTHER NOTICE THAT AFFECTS WASHINGTON
SUBURBAN SANITARY COMMISSION FRONT FOOT BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS
AND DEFERRED WATER AND SEWER CONNECTION CHARGES ON REAL
PROPERTY BY THE COMMISSION OR THE COMMISSION'S DULY
DELEGATED AND ASSIGNED OFFICIAL RESPONSIBLE FOR FILING OR
CERTIFYING NOTICE OF ANY LIEN.

(B)  NOTICES OF LIENS PAYABLE TO THE WASHINGTON
SUBURBAN SANITARY COMMISSION FOR REAL PROPERTY LYING WITHIN
THE WASHINGTON SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT IN MONTGOMERY
COUNTY OR PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY SHALL BE FILED IN THE
OFFICE OF THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT COURT OF THE COUNTY IN
WHICH THE REAL PROPERTY AFFECTED BY THE LIENS IS SITUATED,
AS DETERMINED BY THE COMMISSION.
