(v) The county treasurer of Queen Anne's County shall
receive an annual salary of [$5,000] AT LEAST $10,000. THIS
(v) IN QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, THE [The county treasurer]
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS of Queen Anne's County shall [receive
an] SET THE ANNUAL SALARY OF THE COUNTY TREASURER [annual
salary of $5,000]. THE SALARY SHALL BE SET PRIOR TO THE
DATE ON WHICH A NEWLY ELECTED COUNTY TREASURER FIRST ASSUMES
HIS POSITION DURING HIS TERM OF OFFICE. HOWEVER, THE SALARY
SHALL BE AT LEAST $10,000. THIS SALARY SHALL BE HIS SOLE
COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES PERFORMED IN HIS CAPACITY OF
COUNTY TREASURER. ANY FEES, COMMISSIONS, OR OTHER
COMPENSATION PAID TO THE COUNTY TREASURER UNDER THE LAWS OF
QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY OR THE STATE OF MARYLAND SHALL BE
ACCOUNTED FOR BY THE COUNTY TREASURER AND PAID INTO THE
GENERAL FUNDS OF QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
Treasurer of Queen Anne's County in office on the effective
date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning
the salary of the Treasurer of Queen Anne's County shall
take effect at the beginning of the next following term of
office.
SECTION 3 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.

AN ACT concerning
Cosmetologists - Teacher's License
FOR the purpose of altering the requirements for obtaining a
certain teacher's license for teaching beauty culture;
altering the license renewal requirements for a
cosmetology teacher's license making stylistic changes;
and providing a waiver of the examination required for
obtaining a cosmetology teacher's license under certain
conditions.
