FOR the purpose of prohibiting providing that the Queen
Anne's County Treasurer from receiving is entitled to
collect commissions on tax sales; providing that the
County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County shall set
the salary of the County Treasurer; altering the salary
of the county treasurer; providing that the salary
alteration of the Treasurer's salary shall not take
effect until the next following term of office of the
Treasurer; clarifying language; requiring the county
treasurer to account for and pay into the general
county fund any additional compensation or fee paid to
him; and generally relating to the compensation of the
Queen Anne's County Treasurer.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland read(s) as follows:
Article 18 - Queen Anne's County
6-24.
The said County Treasurer [shall be] IS NOT entitled to
receive COLLECT [a] ANY commission [of five per
centum] on [the amount of all] ALL sales made by him [in
pursuance of] UNDER the provisions of this [sub-title to
be computed and charged as part of the expenses of such
sales; and if before a sale but after advertisement as
aforesaid, the taxes, interest, expenses and costs
chargeable to any property are paid, then the said County
Treasurer shall be IS entitled to receive COLLECT a
commission of two per cent on the amount of such taxes,
interest, expenses and costs, as a part of the cost of
collecting same] SUBTITLE.
