Ch. 240

9-1308. REPORT ON COMPLETION OF DRILLING.

ON COMPLETION OF THE DRILLING OF ANY WELL, THE WELL
DRILLER SHALL FILE A FINAL REPORT WITH THE DEPARTMENT. THE
REPORT SHALL INCLUDE:

(1) THE LOG OF EACH WELL;

(2) THE SIZE AND DEPTH OF EACH WELL;

(3) THE DIAMETERS AND LENGTHS OF CASING AND
SCREEN INSTALLED;

(4) THE STATIC AND PUMPING LEVELS;

(5) THE YIELD OF EACH WELL; AND

(6) ANY OTHER INFORMATION RELATING TO THE
CONSTRUCTION OR OPERATION OF THE WELL THAT THE DEPARTMENT
REQUIRES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section formerly appeared as the
fourth sentence of NR § 8-604.

9-1309. MAINTENANCE AND ABANDONMENT OF WELLS.

(A)  MAINTENANCE.

THE OWNER OF ANY WELL SHALL MAINTAIN IT IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT.

(B)  ABANDONMENT.

ON ABANDONING ANY EXISTING WELL OR TEST HOLE, THE WELL
OWNER SHALL:

(1) NOTIFY THE DEPARTMENT; AND

(2) EFFECTIVELY SEAL AND FILL THE WELL OR TEST
HOLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE
DEPARTMENT.

9-1310. WASTING WELL WATER PROHIBITED.

AN OWNER OF A PUMPING WELL OR FLOWING WELL MAY NOT
DISCHARGE OR PERMIT THE DISCHARGE FROM THE WELL OF WATER
THAT IS ALLOWED TO RUN TO WASTE AND NOT PUT TO USEFUL
