(E) LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE SECRETARY UNDER
THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid repetition of phrases such as "license
issued under this subtitle".

On occasion, the term "licensee" is used in this
subtitle to refer to the holder of a license.

4-502. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.

THIS SUBTITLE APPLIES ONLY TO THE COLD STORAGE OF:

(1)	BUTTER;
(2)	EGGS;
(3)	FISH;
(4)	FRESH MEAT;
(5)	FRESH MEAT PRODUCTS;
(6)	GAME; AND
(7)	POULTRY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without: substantive change from the third clause
of former Article 43, § 230.

4-503. RULES AND REGULATIONS.

THE SECRETARY MAY ADOPT THE RULES AND REGULATIONS
NECESSARY TO CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence of former Article 43, § 240.

The second sentence of former Article 43, § 240,
which provided that regulations adopted under
this subtitle take effect 30 days after filing in
the office of the Secretary, is deleted as
obsolete in light of the provisions of the
Administrative Procedure Act and the Public
Documents Law. Section 3 of Ch. 94, Acts of
1957, which enacted the Administrative Procedure
Act, provided that conflicting laws were
repealed.
