1, § 23 of the Code.

Former Article 43, § 585, which referred to
prosecutions for violations occurring before July 1, 1972,
is deleted as unnecessary and obsolete.

For the provisions that authorize the Secretary of
Agriculture to adopt rules and regulations that regulate the
measurement of milk products and for the provisions that
deal generally with measurement of milk products, see AG §
11-401 et seq.

SUBTITLE 5. COLD STORAGE.

PART I. DEFINITIONS; GENERAL PROVISIONS.

4-501. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

definition section.

(B)  COLD STORAGE.

"COLD STORAGE" MEANS STORING, PLACING, OR KEEPING IN A
COLD STORAGE WAREHOUSE AT A TEMPERATURE THAT DOES NOT EXCEED
45 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT.

without substantive change from the first clause
of former Article 43, § 230.

(C)  FOOD.

"FOOD" MEANS ANY FOOD THAT IS LISTED IN § 4-502 OF THIS
SUBTITLE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid repetition of phrases such as "butter,
eggs, fish, fresh meat, fresh meat products,
game, or poultry".

(D)  COLD STORAGE WAREHOUSE.

"COLD STORAGE WAREHOUSE" MEANS AN ARTIFICIALLY COOLED
PLACE IN WHICH FOOD IS PLACED IN COLD STORAGE FOR 30 DAYS OR
MORE.
