LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 240

The only changes are in style.

REVISOR'S NOTE TO SECTION: Former Article 43, § 570(f),
which defined "person" and which provided that
the singular includes the plural and vice-versa,
is deleted as unnecessary in light of the
definition of "person" in § 1-101 of this article
and Article 1, § 8 of the Code.

Former Article 43, § 570(g), which defined
"and/or", is deleted as unnecessary as that term
is not used in this subtitle.

Former Article 43, § 570(j), which defined
"producer-distributor", is deleted as obsolete.

Former Article 43, § 570(m), which defined
"Secretary", is deleted as unnecessary in light
of the definition of that term in § 1-101 of this
article.

Former Article 43, § 570(p), which defined
"adulterated milk product", is deleted as that
term is not used in this subtitle. For
provisions dealing with adulterated food products
generally, including milk products, see Subtitle
2 of this title.

Former Article 43, § 570(s), (t), and (u), which
defined "sanitization", "official laboratory",
and "officially designated laboratory",
respectively, is deleted as unnecessary as those
terms are not used in this subtitle.

4-402. LEGISLATIVE POLICY.

THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY FINDS THAT STATEWIDE LAWS, RULES,
AND REGULATIONS ARE NEEDED TO GOVERN THE PRODUCTION,
PROCESSING, LABELING, AND DISTRIBUTION OF GRADED MILK
PRODUCTS IN THIS STATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence and the reference to these laws, rules,
and regulations being statewide in the second
sentence of former Article 43, § 569 1.

The balance of the second sentence of former
Article 43, § 569 1., which required that this
subtitle and its regulations be enforced on a
statewide basis, is deleted as unnecessary in
light of § 1-301 of this article.

4-403. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.
