Ch. 240

WATER.

(F)  CERTAIN WALLS AND CEILINGS.

IN THE PARTS OF A SOFT DRINK MANUFACTURING PLANT THAT
ARE USED TO MANUFACTURE A SOFT DRINK OR SUBSTANCE USED IN
THE PREPARATION OF A SOFT DRINK, THE WALLS AND CEILINGS
SHALL BE KEPT OIL PAINTED OR WELL WASHED WITH LIME.

(G)  SCREENING SYRUP PREPARATION AREAS.

(1)  IN THE ROOMS OF THE MANUFACTURING PLANT THAT
ARE USED TO MANUFACTURE OR MIX SYRUPS OR SOFT DRINK
EXTRACTS, THE MANUFACTURER SHALL HAVE, IN EACH OPENING TO
THE ROOM, A SCREEN OR SELF-CLOSING SCREEN DOOR.

(2)  THE SCREENING SHALL BE MADE OF WIRE AND HAVE
AT LEAST 14 MESHES PER INCH.

(H) PROTECTION FROM CONTAMINATION.

IN EACH MANUFACTURING PLANT, THE MANUFACTURER SHALL
PROTECT SECURELY AGAINST ANY SOFT DRINK OR ANY SUBSTANCE
USED IN THE PREPARATION OF A SOFT DRINK BEING CONTAMINATED
BY:

(1)  FLIES;

(2)  DUST;

(3)  DIRT; OR

(4)  ANY OTHER FOREIGN
CONTAMINATION.

OR INJURIOUS

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Article
43, § 164(a), (b), (c), (g), and (h) and the
introductory language of § 164.

In subsection (c)(2) of this section, the former
word "clean" is deleted as included in

"sanitary".

In subsection (h) of this section, the former
phrase "as far as may be necessary" is deleted as
included in "protect securely".

4-331. DAILY RUBBISH REMOVAL.

EVERY DAY, EACH MANUFACTURER SHALL REMOVE FROM THE
MANUFACTURER'S PLANT ALL:

(1) REFUSE;
