SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

12-309.

[The Board shall reinstate the license of a pharmacist
who has failed to renew the license for any reason, if the
pharmacist:

(1)  Meets the renewal requirements of § 12-308
of this subtitle; and

(2)  Pays to the Board, in addition to the
renewal fee required under § 12-308 of this subtitle, a
reinstatement fee of $2 for each term that the pharmacist
has failed to submit a renewal application and fee. within
the time required by the Board.]

(A)  THE BOARD SHALL REINSTATE THE LICENSE OF A
PHARMACIST WHOSE LICENSE HAS BEEN EXPIRED FOR LESS THAN 2
YEARS, IF THE PHARMACIST:

(1)  MEETS THE RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS OF § 12-308
OF THIS SUBTITLE; AND

(2)  PAYS TO THE BOARD THE REINSTATEMENT FEE SET
BY THE BOARD.

(B)  THE BOARD SHALL REINSTATE THE LICENSE OF A
PHARMACIST WHOSE LICENSE HAS BEEN EXPIRED FOR 2 YEARS OR
MORE IF THE PHARMACIST:

(1)  MEETS THE REINSTATEMENT REQUIREMENTS
ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD IN ITS RULES OR REGULATIONS; AND

(2)   SATISFIES THE REQUIREMENTS OF SUBSECTION (A)
OF THIS SECTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
