AN ACT concerning
Queen Anne's County - Fire Companies
FOR the purpose of requiring the County Commissioners of
Queen Anne's County to pay a certain sum annually to
the Crumpton Volunteer Fire Company, Incorporated and
the United Communities Volunteer Fire Department,
Incorporated; repealing obsolete language; and
generally relating to certain annual appropriations to
certain fire companies in Queen Anne's County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland read(s) as follows:
Article 18 - Queen Anne's County
12-1.
The County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are
authorized and directed to pay annually, on or before the
1st day of October of each year, the sum of three thousand,
five hundred dollars ($3,500) to each of the following named
volunteer fire companies: Goodwill Fire Company,
Incorporated; The Sudlersville Fire Company, Incorporated;
Church Hill Fire Company, Incorporated; The Queenstown
Volunteer Fire Company; Kent Island Volunteer Fire
Department, Inc., [and] Grasonville Volunteer Fire Company,
Inc., THE CRUMPTON VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY, INCORPORATED, AND
THE UNITED COMMUNITIES VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT,
INCORPORATED, and the sum of one thousand seven hundred
fifty dollars ($1,750) to Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer
Fire Company, Incorporated, for the purchase, improvement,
maintenance and operation of fire apparatus and fire
equipment for the said volunteer fire companies. [The
County Commissioners are authorized and directed to pay
annually as provided herein the sum of three thousand five
hundred dollars ($3,500) to the Crumpton Volunteer Fire
Company, Inc., when said company has presented to the County
Commissioners satisfactory evidence that the company has
complied with the requirements of the Maryland Fire
Underwriters' Rating Bureau applicable to volunteer fire
companies.]
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1982.
