FOR the purpose of altering the salaries of the bailiff and
court crier in Queen Anne's County; and providing that

this Act does not affect incumbents.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Section 2-506(a)(18) and (b)(4)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
read(s) as follows:

Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-506.

(a)     A bailiff shall receive the compensation provided
in this section. Unless otherwise provided, the amount is a
per diem sum for each day he attends the circuit court.

(18) Queen Anne's County--[$15] $20.

(b)     A court crier shall receive the per diem
compensation provided by this section for attending the
circuit court:

(4) Queen Anne's-—[$17.50] $20;

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salaries of
the bailiff and court crier in Queen Anne's County in office
on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of
this Act concerning the salaries of the bailiff and court
crier in Queen Anne's County shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this
Act shall take effect July 1, 1982.
