SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:
Article 12 - Garrett County
7-5.
Each member of the Board of County Commissioners of
Garrett County shall receive as salary a total sum of
[thirteen thousand one hundred dollars ($13,100.00)] $16,500
annually. Each commissioner shall also receive, exclusive
of salary, an annual expenses allowance of not less than
twelve hundred dollars ($1200.00), provided that he submit
an itemized account substantiating the amount of his
expenses. These sums shall be paid in monthly installments.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
County Commissioners of Garrett County in office on the
effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
concerning the salary of the County Commissioners of Garrett
County shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office.
SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED," That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning
Garrett County - Treasurer's Salary
FOR the purpose of increasing the salary of the Garrett
County treasurer; and providing that the increased
salary shall take effect at the beginning of the next
following term of office.
