SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

159.

(h) Members of the several boards shall receive
compensation as follows:

(1) Garrett County — [$1,800] $2,000 per annum,
and a mileage fee [of 15 cents per mile] IN AMOUNTS EQUAL TO
THE MILEAGE FEES PROVIDED FOR IN THE STANDARD STATE TRAVEL
REGULATIONS when [in attendance upon] ATTENDING meetings.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
may not be construed to extend or apply to the salary of the
Garrett County members of the liquor control board in office
on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of
this Act concerning the salary of the Garrett County members
of the liquor control board shall take effect at the
beginning of the next following term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

FOR the purpose of altering the salary of each of the
Garrett County Commissioners; and providing that the
salary alterations do not affect the incumbent Garrett
