(c) (1) A child may apply to the State Scholarship
Board for a scholarship under this section if his parent was
a member of the armed forces and the parent was a resident
of this State at the time the parent:

(i) Died or was totally and permanently
disabled as a result of military service after December 7,
1941; or

(ii) Was declared to be a prisoner of war
or missing in action, if that occurred on or after January
1, 1960 as a result of the Vietnam conflict, and if the
child was born PRIOR TO OR while the parent was a prisoner
of war or missing in action.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the
amendment to § 18-603(c)(l)(ii) in this Act is a correction
of an inadvertent deletion made in the 1978 revision of the
Education Laws, and that this correction shall be construed
retroactively to validate any scholarship awarded under §
18-603(c)(l)(ii) between July 1, 1978 and the effective date
of this Act.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

Baltimore City - Alcoholic Beverages
(25th Ward Liquor Licenses)

FOR the purpose of prohibiting, with a certain exception
certain exceptions, the issuance or transfer of
licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages in a
certain area of Baltimore City.
