(Senate Bill 1032)

AN ACT concerning

Education Article

FOR the purpose of correcting a provision concerning
eligibility for scholarships for children of certain
veterans and prisoners of war; correcting a reference
concerning the breakfast program; and making stylistic
corrections concerning the University of Maryland Board
of Regents.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 7-5A-03, 13-102(c)(2), and 18-603(c)(l)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

7-5A-03.

The free and reduced price breakfast program under
this subtitle shall be suspended if the per meal
reimbursement that the federal government provides for the
breakfast program is:

(1)  Reduced below the rate prescribed on July 1,
1979; or

(2)  Adjusted by the Secretary of [Health and
Human Services] THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE,
as of the most recent July 1 under the National Child
Nutrition Act, and the per meal reimbursement is below the
adjusted rate.

(c) (2) Two of the members shall be students at
different campuses of the University, each of whom shall be
A full-time [students] STUDENT in good standing at the
campus the student attends.
