§ 134] of Article 43 of the Code OR § 14-602 OF THE HEALTH
OCCUPATIONS ARTICLE, are not admissible in evidence in any
proceeding.

Article - Education

18-805.

(a)  (3) "Nursing shortage area" means a recognized
area of nursing service or specialization, such as
gerontological nursing, in which the State Board of Higher
Education, considering any recommendations of the State
Board of [Nursing] Examiners OF NURSES, has determined that
there exists a shortage of qualified nurses.

(b) (2) The State Board of Higher Education shall
identify and establish nursing shortage areas considering
any recommendations of the State Board of [Nursing]
Examiners OF NURSES. The State Board of Higher Education
shall review the established nursing shortage areas annually
and make any appropriate changes.

Article - Transportation

16-119.

(a) The [department] DEPARTMENT of Health and Mental
Hygiene, together with the Medical and Chirurgical Faculty
and the STATE Board of Examiners [of] IN Optometry, shall
define:

(1)  Disorders characterized by lapses of
consciousness; and

(2)  Disorders that result in a corrected visual
acuity that fails to comply with the vision requirements of
this subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (as enacted by Chapter

______(H.B. 1) of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1981)

be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

2-102.

(b) This title does not limit the right of [a hearing
aid dealer to fit and deal in hearing aids] AN AUTHORIZED
HEARING AID DEALER TO PRACTICE THE FITTING OF AND DEALING IN
HEARING AIDS.
