REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection presently appears as
Art. 43, § 791(7).

The definition is stated in the infinitive form
to permit minor verb variations of the defined
phrase, without taking these variations out of
the scope of the definition.

The only other changes are in style.

(G) SPEECH PATHOLOGIST.

"SPEECH PATHOLOGIST" MEANS AN INDIVIDUAL WHO PRACTICES
SPEECH PATHOLOGY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to provide an express definition of "speech
pathologist"; it is stated in the standard form
used to define the various health practitioners
regulated under this article.

The provisions of the present    definition of

"speech pathologist" in Art. 43, §   791(5), which

are substantive provisions, now    appear in §
19-402 of this title.

REVISOR'S NOTE TO SECTION: As to the first clause of
present Art. 43, § 791(3), which defines
"person", and present Art. 43, § 791(9) and (10),
which defines "financial interest" and "household
member", see the revisor's note to § 2-101 of
this article.

Present Art. 43, § 791(4) and (6), which defines
"audiologist" and "the practice of audiology",
now appears in § 2-101 of this article. See the
General Revisor's Note to this title.

Present Art. 43, § 791(8), which defines
"unethical conduct", now appears in § 19-313 of
this title. See the revisor's note to that
section.

19-102. SCOPE OF TITLE.

(A) OTHER PROFESSIONS NOT REGULATED.

(1)  THIS TITLE DOES NOT LIMIT THE RIGHT OF AN
INDIVIDUAL TO PRACTICE A HEALTH OCCUPATION THAT THE
INDIVIDUAL IS AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE UNDER THIS ARTICLE.

(2)  THIS TITLE DOES NOT PROHIBIT AN INDIVIDUAL
FROM PRACTICING ANY OTHER PROFESSION THAT THE INDIVIDUAL IS
AUTHORIZED TO PRACTICE UNDER THE LAWS OF THIS STATE.
