HARRY HUGHES, Governor

719

(C)  LICENSE.

"LICENSE" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT REQUIRES OTHERWISE,
A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD TO PRACTICE SPEECH PATHOLOGY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from Art. 43, §
791(2). It is restated to avoid needless
repetition of phrases such as "license to
practice speech pathology".

The present term "temporary license" is deleted
to avoid confusion between the general "license"
and the present "temporary license", now the
"limited license" issued under § 19-310 of this
title.

The present phrase "renewal of license" is
deleted as superfluous in light of this
subsection.

(D)  LICENSED SPEECH PATHOLOGIST.

"LICENSED SPEECH PATHOLOGIST" MEANS, UNLESS THE CONTEXT
REQUIRES OTHERWISE, A SPEECH PATHOLOGIST WHO IS LICENSED BY
THE BOARD TO PRACTICE SPEECH PATHOLOGY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"individual licensed to practice speech
pathology".

On occasion, the term "licensee" is used in this
title as a synonym for "licensed speech
pathologist". Since "license" is defined in
subsection (c) of this section, "licensee" need
not be defined separately.

(E)  LIMITED LICENSE.

"LIMITED LICENSE" MEANS A LICENSE ISSUED BY THE BOARD
AS LIMITED BY § 19-310 OF THIS TITLE TO PRACTICE SPEECH
PATHOLOGY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to avoid needless repetition of phrases such as
"limited license to practice speech pathology".

For the provisions concerning a limited license,
see § 19-310 of this title.

(F)  PRACTICE SPEECH PATHOLOGY.

"PRACTICE SPEECH PATHOLOGY" MEANS TO APPLY THE
PRINCIPLES, METHODS, AND PROCEDURES OF MEASUREMENT,
PREDICTION, EVALUATION, TESTING, COUNSELING, CONSULTATION,
