15-305. WAIVER OF EXAMINATIONS.

(A)  RECIPROCAL WAIVER OF EXAMINATIONS.

(1)  SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
SUBSECTION, THE BOARD SHALL WAIVE THE EXAMINATION
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR AN APPLICANT WHO IS
CERTIFIED OR LICENSED TO PRACTICE PODIATRY IN ANY OTHER
STATE.

(2)  THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS
SUBSECTION ONLY IF THE APPLICANT:

(I)  IS OF GOOD MORAL CHARACTER;

(II)  PAYS THE APPLICATION FEE SET BY THE
BOARD; AND

(III)  PROVIDES ADEQUATE EVIDENCE THAT THE
APPLICANT:

1.  IS LICENSED IN THE OTHER STATE;
AND

2.  BECAME LICENSED IN THE OTHER
STATE UNDER REQUIREMENTS SUBSTANTIALLY EQUIVALENT TO THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE.

(3)  THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS
SUBSECTION ONLY IF THE STATE IN WHICH THE APPLICANT IS
LICENSED WAIVES THE EXAMINATION OF LICENSEES OF THIS STATE
TO A SIMILAR EXTENT AS THIS STATE WAIVES THE EXAMINATION OF
INDIVIDUALS LICENSED IN THAT STATE.

(B)  WAIVER OF WRITTEN EXAMINATIONS.

THE BOARD MAY WAIVE THE WRITTEN EXAMINATION REQUIREMENT
OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR AN APPLICANT WHO HAS PASSED THE
EXAMINATION GIVEN BY THE NATIONAL BOARD OF PODIATRY
EXAMINERS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived

without substantive change from the tenth

sentence of Art. 43, § 483 and from Art. 43, §
485.

In subsection (a) of this section, the term "any
