15-306.

of "state" in § 1-101 of this article.

Subsection (a)(2)(i) of this section is new
language added to clarify that the Board has the
power to deny a license to an applicant who, at
the time of application, is not of good moral
character.

In subsection (a)(2)(iii) of this section, the

phrase "provides adequate evidence" is

substituted for the archaic reference to

"certified by the affidavit of a member of the
issuing Board".

Subsection (a)(2)(iii)2. of this section is
revised to reflect the Board practice of
requiring an applicant who seeks a waiver of the
examination to meet the current Board standards
for licensing.

ISSUANCE AND CONTENTS OF LICENSE.

(A) ISSUANCE.

THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE TO ANY APPLICANT WHO,
BY THE AFFIRMATIVE VOTE OF AT LEAST THREE MEMBERS OF THE
BOARD, MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE.

(B)

THE
ISSUES:

CONTENTS.

BOARD SHALL INCLUDE ON EACH LICENSE THAT THE BOARD

(1)  THE SIGNATURES OF AT LEAST THREE MEMBERS OF
THE BOARD ATTESTING THAT THE INDIVIDUAL MEETS THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE; AND

(2)  A SERIAL NUMBER THAT CORRESPONDS TO AN ENTRY
IN THE REGISTRATION RECORDS OF THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived

without substantive change from the fifth

sentence of Art. 43, § 483 and from Art. 43, §
484.

As to subsection (a) of this section, the
Commission to Revise the Annotated Code notes
that before the passage of the "Consumer
Representatives" bill, Ch. 702, Acts of 1980, the
vote requirement of this subsection represented a
majority of the full authorized membership of the
Board.

15-307. SCOPE OF LICENSE.

A LICENSE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO PRACTICE PODIATRY
WHILE THE LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.
