LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch.8

As to subsection (f)(2) of this section, the
terms of the members serving on July 1, 1981,
expire as follows: (1) one member in 1982; (2)
one member in 1983; (3) one member in 1984; (4)
two members in 1985; and (5) three members in
1986.

Subsection (f)(3) of this section is standard
language added to this and, where necessary,
corresponding sections of other titles of this
article to provide for gaps in membership by
indicating that a member serves until a successor
takes office. This provision is supported by the
cases of Benson v. Mellor, 152 Md. 481 (1927) and
Grooms v. LaVale Zoning Board, 27 Md. App. 266
(1975).

For circumstances under which subsection (f)(4)
of this section applies, see the General
Revisor's Note to this article.

Present Art. 43, § 257(b), which defines
"financial interest" and "household member", is
deleted as unnecessary in light of the
definitions of "household member" and
"substantial financial interest" in § 1-101 of
this article.

12-203. OFFICERS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

FROM AMONG ITS PHARMACIST MEMBERS, THE BOARD ANNUALLY
SHALL ELECT A PRESIDENT, A SECRETARY, AND A TREASURER.

(B)  ELECTIONS.

THE MANNER OF ELECTION OF OFFICERS SHALL BE AS THE
BOARD DETERMINES.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from
Art. 43, § 258(a).

Subsection (b) of this section is standard
language added to clarify the manner of election
of officers of the Board.

12-204. QUORUM; MEETINGS; COMPENSATION; STAFF.

(A)  QUORUM.

A MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS THEN SERVING ON THE BOARD IS
