11-306. ISSUANCE AND CONTENTS OF LICENSE.

(A)  ISSUANCE.

THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE TO ANY APPLICANT WHO IT
FINDS, BY THE AFFIRMATIVE VOTE OF AT LEAST THREE MEMBERS OF
THE BOARD, MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS TITLE.

(B)  CONTENTS.

THE BOARD SHALL INCLUDE ON EACH LICENSE THAT THE BOARD
ISSUES:

(1)  THE SIGNATURES OF THE BOARD MEMBERS;

(2)  THE BOARD SEAL; AND

(3)  A BOOK AND PAGE NUMBER THAT CORRESPONDS TO
THE BOOK AND ENTRY ON FILE WITH THE SECRETARY OF THE BOARD.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the last clause
of the second sentence of Art. 43, § 471, the
second sentence and the last clause of the third
sentence of § 473, and the third sentence of §
474(b) — as that sentence relates to issuing a
license.

As to subsection (a) of this section, the
Commission to Revise the Annotated Code notes
that before the passage of the "Consumer
Representatives" Act, Ch. 702, Acts of 1980, the
vote requirement of present Art. 43, § 471
represented a majority of the full authorized
membership of the Board.

The present reference to the records as open for
public inspection now appears in § 11-205 of this
title.

11-307. SCOPE OF LICENSE.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

A LICENSE AUTHORIZES A LICENSEE TO PRACTICE OSTEOPATHY
WHILE THE LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.

(B)  BIRTH AND DEATH CERTIFICATES.

A LICENSE ISSUED UNDER THIS SUBTITLE DOES NOT AUTHORIZE
A LICENSEE TO EXECUTE OR FILE A BIRTH OR DEATH CERTIFICATE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived in part from the second sentence
of Art. 43, § 477 and rephrased in the standard
language used in corresponding sections of other
titles in this article.
