Bill No. 43

AN ACT to repeal Subtitle 1 "Subdivision Control" of
Title 16 "Planning, Zoning and Subdivision Control" of the
Howard County Code, and create new Subtitle 1 "Subdivision
and Land Development Regulations" to provide for minimum
requirements for divisions of land situated within Howard
County including under some circumstances, provisions for
mandatory dedication and reservation of lands for public
use; to provide for the review of subdivision and
development plans; to identify violations of these
regulations; to permit limited variances and modifications
to these regulations; to permit appeal by any person
aggrieved by any decision of the Office of Planning and
Zoning in applying these regulations, and to provide for a
severability clause.

Bill No. 45

AN ACT to add new Subtitle 7, "Commission for Women" to
Title 12, "Health and Social Services" of the Howard County
Code for the purpose of providing for the establishment of a
women's commission in Howard County; providing for
membership, terms, powers, duties and objectives of the
commission; providing for a commission which shall promote
the economic, social and political equality of women of
Howard County, Maryland; and generally relating to the
establishment of a women's commission in Howard County,
Maryland.

AN ACT amending Section 1.210 "Standards for Positions"
of Title 1 "Administration" of the Howard County Code to
allow for the phase in of educational requirements for
firefighter lieutenants and captains and assistant chief,
administration and services; and making this an emergency
measure. AND SECTION 1.211 "INCORPORATION OF CLASS
SPECIFICATIONS" OF TITLE I "ADMINISTRATION" OF THE HOWARD
COUNTY CODE MODIFYING EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR
