A RESOLUTION

BY THE

MAYOR AND COUNCIL

OF THE

TOWN OF UNION BRIDGE

TO

ENLARGE THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES

OF THE TOWN BY ANNEXATION OF A

PARCEL OF LAND IN BELLEVUE HEIGHTS

RESOLUTION NO. 9-80

WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of Section 3 (Home
Rule) of Article XI-E (Municipal Corporations) of the
Constitution of Maryland and of Section 19 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973 Repl. Vol., as
amended), title "Corporations-Municipal", sub-title
"Annexation", the Mayor and Council of the Town of Union
Bridge are vested with the authority to enlarge the
boundaries of the Town; and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Union
Bridge have obtained the consent for the proposed annexation
from more than twenty-five percentum (25%) of the persons
who reside in the area to be annexed and who are registered
voters in the County elections in the precinct in which the
territory to be annexed is located and the owners of at
least twenty-five percent (25%) of the assessed valuation of
the real property located in the area to be annexed.

[The Code of Public Local Laws of Carroll County,
added.

Effective Date May 9, 1980]

UNIVERSITY PARK

(Prince George's County)

LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION NO. 5-80

Resolution of the Town of University Park, Maryland,
adopted pursuant to the authority of Article XI-E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Section 13 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (Subtitle "Home Rule") to
recodify the Charter of the Town of University Park,
repealing the existing Charter in its entirety and
re-enacting Article I through VIII.

WHEREAS, Article XI-E, Section 4, of the Constitution
of Maryland reserves to Mayor and Common Council of
University Park as a duly incorporated municipality the
authority to adopt a new charter by resolution, and
