RESOLUTION

FIRST: Be it resolved and enacted this 22nd day of October
1980, in the year 1980 by the Burgess and the Board of
Commissioners of the Town of Emmitsburg, pursuant to
authority, granted unto them by Article XI E of the
Constitution of Maryland and Article 23A, Annotated Code of
Maryland, 1957 (1973 Replacement Volume) that Article III,
of the Charter of the Town of Emmitsburg is hereby amended
by changing the designation of Burgess to Mayor throughout
the Charter and Ordinance of the Town of Emmitsburg, said
Section to read as attached.

[Section 18-III of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Frederick County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date December 30, 1980]

FROSTBURG

(Allegany County)

ANNEXATION RESOLUTION NO. 22

A Resolution of the Mayor and City Council of
Frostburg, to enlarge the corporate boundaries of the City
of Frostburg, and thereby amend the Charter of the City of
Frostburg.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of Frostburg,
pursuant to the authority contained in Article XI-E of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland, and Article 23A,
Section 19, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1973
Replacement Volume), deem it in the public interest to
enlarge the corporate boundaries of the City of Frostburg;
and

WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is contiguous and
adjacent to the existing corporate area, and the consent for
said annexation has been obtained from not less than
twenty-five percent (25%) of the persons who reside in the
area to be annexed and who are registered voters in Allegany
County, and from the owners of not less than twenty-five
percent (25%) of the assessed valuation of the real property
located in said area to be annexed.

[Section 169 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Allegany County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date January 20, 1980]
