RESOLUTION NO. 78
RESOLUTION of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority contained in
Article 11-E of the Constitution of the State of Maryland,
and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, entitled "Municipal Corporations", as said Section
was enacted by Chapter 423 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, 1955, entitled "A RESOLUTION TO AMEND
SUB-SECTION (b) OF SECTION 81 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
CUMBERLAND (1966 EDITION), BEING ARTICLE 1A OF THE CODE OF
PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND, WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE LEVY
AND COLLECTION OF A TAX ON THE ASSESSABLE PROPERTY OF SAID
CITY."
[Section 81(b)of the Charter of the Town of Cumberland,
Allegany County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

RESOLUTION of the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland,
Maryland, adopted pursuant to the authority contained in
Article 11-E of the Constitution of the State of Maryland,
and Section 13 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, entitled "Municipal Corporations11, as said Section
was enacted by Chapter 423 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, 1955, entitled "A RESOLUTION TO AMEND
THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF CUMBERLAND, MARYLAND (1966
EDITION), BY REPEALING AND REENACTNG, WITH AMENDMENTS,
SECTION 18 RELATING TO THE DESIGNATION OF COUNCILMEN AS
COMMISSIONERS OF DEPARTMENTS OF CITY GOVERNMENT."
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland has
determined the need for a professional and qualified City
administrator; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland has
determined that City government can be made more efficient,
economical, and responsive by the employment of an
administrator; and
