STATE ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD OF ELECTION LAWS
ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 23-11 of Article
33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the State
Administrative Board of Election Laws does hereby certify
that at the General Election held in the State of Maryland
on November 4, 1980, an Act known as Chapter 365 of the Acts
of 1980 was submitted to the voters of the State of Maryland
in accordance with the provisions of said Act, said Act
being as follows:

AN ACT concerning Garrett County - Board of Education
Elections. For the purpose of withdrawing, recalling, and
repealing Chapter 646 of the Acts of 1979; providing that
Chapter 646 of 1979 shall not be submitted to a referendum
of the qualified voters of Garrett County; creating an
elected Board of Education in Garrett County; establishing
terms of office; providing for removal of members and
vacancies on the Board; providing for the election of a
president and vice president; providing for expenses for the
members; delineating certain functions and responsibilities
of the Board; providing for filing and election procedures
in primary and general elections; generally relating to an
elected school board for Garrett County; and submitting this
Act to the qualified voters of Garrett County for their
adoption or rejection.

And it is hereby certified that at said election, 2,866
votes were cast for the adoption of said Chapter 365 and
2,514 votes were cast against the adoption of said Chapter
365, the said Chapter 365 of the Acts of 1980 has therefore
been ratified by the qualified voters of Garrett County.

Maryland, Done at the City of Annapolis, this 24th day of
November, In the Year of Our Lord, One Thousand, Nine
Hundred and Eighty.
