LAWS OF MARYLAND
Ch.8
country, may then be waived by the Board into
Maryland — a third state — on the basis of the
nurse's license in the second state or country,
which was acquired by waiver on the basis of
being examined and licensed in the first state or
country. This provision, which is included in
most of the titles of this article and which
conforms with Board practice, allows the Board to
give fair consideration under this section to a
registered nurse or licensed practical nurse who,
in the course of the nurse's professional career,
has moved from one state to another before
finally moving to Maryland to practice here.
This addition is called to the attention of the
General Assembly.
The references in present Art. 43, §§ 295(c) and
296(d) to "endorsement" are deleted as
unnecessary in light of the provisions in this
section that relate to licensing an applicant
without examination.
