Ch. 752

(b)  Any person who willfully fails to render any
report or perform any other duty required by SUBTITLE 3 OF
this title is subject to a fine of $5 for each day the
report is withheld, but not more than $500.

(c)  Any person who willfully refuses to pay or deliver
abandoned property to the administrator as required by
SUBTITLE 3 OF this title is subject to a fine of not less
than $500 nor more than $1,000 or imprisonment for not more
than six months or both.

This title may be cited as the Maryland Uniform
Disposition of [Unclaimed] ABANDONED Property Act.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

CHAPTER 753

(House Bill 499)

AN ACT concerning

Banking Board - Bank Regulations Board

FOR the purpose of altering the composition of the Banking
Board to include an economist, a certified public
accountant, and a certain number of public members,
none of whom may be employed by any banking
institution; providing that the State Comptroller is a
nonvoting ex-officio member of the Banking Board;
abolishing the Bank Regulations Board; providing that
with after receiving the advice of the Banking Board,
the Bank Commissioner may approve certain applications
and activities by banking institutions; providing that
if the Bank Commissioner does not follow the advice of
the Banking Board, the Bank Commissioner shall send to
the Banking Board a written statement of the reasons
for the action; providing for the terms of the members
of the Banking Board; and generally relating to the
Banking Board and the Bank Regulations Board.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
